Avery Rene McClung, age 55, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. He was a native of Colbert County and always enjoyed hunting and fishing on the banks of the Tennessee River.
Visitation will be today from noon until 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Roger Banks officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis McClung, Jamie McClung, Tony DeMoss, Ricky Hallmark, Michael L. Weaver, Daniel Bales, Darwin Anderson, and James Shempert. Honorary pallbearer will be Ricky Rogers.
Preceding him in death were his father, Robert Lee McClung, and uncles, Danny Henderson, Vincent Lloyd Weaver, and William (Bub) Weaver.
Survivors are his mother, Walla Geneva (Weaver) McClung; daughters, Cassie Herrington (Garrel), Jennifer Bales (Daniel), and Andrea McClung; son, Travis McClung; grandchildren, Kansas and Jaylen; sister, Lisa Scott (Ronald); brother, Jamie McClung (January); and aunt, Loreda Henderson.
Avery was a great son, brother, father, and Paw Paw who will be greatly missed.
