Ava Joy Alexander Napier, age 71, of Michie, Tennessee passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024, in Corinth, Mississippi.
Ava Joy was born to Roy and Martha Alexander on July 17, 1952, in Augusta, Georgia. She graduated from Central High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Columbia State College.
Ava Joy is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Martha Alexander and her son Garrett Blankenship. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, John Napier, of Michie, Tennessee; her children Rachael (Blankenship) and Craig Rossiter of Sydney, Australia, Nicole (Blankenship) Thomas of Savannah, Tennessee, Chris (Tina) Napier of Knoxville, Tennessee and Lauri Napier Walz of Chattanooga, Tennessee; her siblings Jan Hester, David (Becky) Alexander, Danny (Mechelle) Alexander, all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren: Lennon, Cassidy, Abigail, Mackenzie, Ella, Aullie, Peri, Cooper, Elijah, Layne, Nicholas, and Willow, five great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews Jeremiah, Eldridge, Biven, Brennan, and Averi as well as many beloved cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Central Christian Church at 404 East Main Street, Murfreesboro, TN.
