Austell “Cassie” Self was born on June 6, 1944 and passed away on October 21, 2020 at 3:22 AM, only 2 months after losing her husband of 59 years. She passed away at the home of her daughter with family at her bedside.
Cassie is survived by daughter, Debra Moore (Mike); son, Robbie Self; grandsons, James Moore, Leelynd Moore and Rusty Self (Gabriella); granddaughters, Brittany Seay (Jason), Tiera Moore, Elizabeth Richardson (Rusty), Kaa-La Self (Jacob) and Amber Self (Cody); 4 great-grandsons and 4 Great-granddaughters; brothers, Benny (Mary), Mastin (Vickie) and David (Kathy) Parrish; sisters, Arlene Kirkland, Jo Carlton, Maureen Buch (Rick), Frenea Kidd (Roy), Claudell Taylor (Clarence) and Wanda Henderson; a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by hew husband, Robert Self; parents, Rev. Odell Parrish and Alma Parrish and a grandson, Chris Moore.
Pallbearers are Kenny Parrish, Steve Henderson, Michael Chamblee, Jay Self, Phillip Self and Anthony Butler. Honorary pallbearers are her entire family. Rev. Don Self will officiate the service with Jack Self singing.
