Audrey Marie Zeck Edwards, age 72, of Allensville, KY, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 at 1pm in the chapel of the Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, TN with Brother Paul Edwards and Dr. Eric Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Edwards Family Cemetery with Adam Edwards, Sam Gray, Reese Earheart, Chris Bryant, Mac Baggett, Jr., David Eppstein, Michael Eppstein and Mason Zeck serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Edwards, Clay Ard, John (Buster) Campbell, Mac Baggett Sr., Travis Ayres, Tony Leeman and Tom Byrum.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 12-4pm and again on Monday from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm.
Mrs. Edwards was born at home on August 30, 1951 in Cedar Hill, TN to the late Morgan and Gladys Deshields Zeck. She worked alongside her husband for 55 years to make Corn Silk Farms what it is today, never complaining about the long hours or hard work. She was the epitome of what a good farm wife should be and did everything from hard manual labor to book keeping to world class cooking all while loving and caring for her family and friends. She was fun and spirited and her contribution to farm and family were immeasurable.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Edwards is preceded in death by her brother, Henry Zeck and sister, Freda Loveland.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her husband, Donnie Edwards; sons, Sterling (Jackie) Edwards and Bradley (Nicki) Edwards; sisters, Delores Apple, Loretta Neal and Dorothy (Steve) Eppstein; sister-in-law, Carol Zeck; 5 grandchildren Adam (Heather) Edwards, Lexi (Reese) Earheart, Sam Gray, Sophie Gray and Eliana Edwards and 1 great grandchild Emersyn Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cedar Hill Baptist Church or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
