Audrey was born on November 13, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas, to Wiley M. and Lulamae Dennis. She was a proud and true Texan who grew up riding horses, milking cows—and even playing the drums. Texas remained a special part of her heart throughout her life.

Audrey met the love of her life, William “Bill” Lambert, at church in Texas while Bill was stationed there with the Army. Their meeting was truly a sweet “love at first sight” story. They married not long after meeting, and after Bill completed his military service, they moved first to Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and then to Nashville, Tennessee, where Bill began his career and they raised their family.

Known affectionately as “Mom,” “Grandmommy,” and, “Great Grandmommy,” Audrey was a devoted wife, homemaker and cherished friend. She loved her family and friends deeply and treasured every moment spent with them.

Audrey was a longtime and faithful member of Concord Road Church of Christ, where she served in countless ways throughout the years. As an elder’s wife, teacher, hostess, and dedicated servant of her Lord and Savior, she touched the lives of many through her kindness, faith, hospitality, and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley M. and Lulamae Dennis; sisters, Geri and Myrna; and brother, Dale.

Audrey is survived by her beloved husband of 73 years, William “Bill” M. Lambert; son, Darrell (Debbie) Lambert; and daughters, Mitzie (Jimmy) Netterville and Julie (Greg) Harper and honorary daughter, Amy (Shawn) Everson. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Matthew (Antonette) Netterville, Emily (David) Lister, Tanner (Jessica) Netterville, Christopher Netterville, Jennifer (Ryan) White, Allison (Nick) Thimm, Stephanie (Joe) Edlhuber, Britney (Mark) Ray, and Will (Emily) Harper; as well as 17 great-grandchildren: Samuel, Levi, Vienna, Leo, Maddie, Clay, Ava, Amelia, Eleanor, Emmett, Mack, Everett, Harper, Sally, Willy, Wendy, and Cannon.

Audrey adored each and every one and was so very proud of them all. Her love, faith, warmth, and devotion to her family will remain a lasting part of their lives.
