Audie Keith Layton
APRIL 13, 1962 – APRIL 25, 2019
Audie Keith Layton, 57, passed away on April 25, 2019. Visitation will be Sunday, April 28, 2019, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Audie was born in Decatur to Talmadge Wade Layton and Martha Louise Anderson Layton on April 13, 1962. He attended Austin High School and was active in sports. Audie has always loved sports along with hunting and fishing especially with his grandsons. He enjoyed passing on his enjoyment of the outdoors to them along with helping with their involvement in sports to include football, track, baseball, and boxing. He was the happiest when doing activities with his boys. He loved Alabama sports especially football and was very knowledgeable of their history and proud to wear the Crimson and White. Audie is preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Martha Layton, one sister Belinda Thurman and his brother Gary Layton. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Wood Layton, his daughters, Christy Stover and Heather Ranes Colley along with four grandsons Cole Layton Houser, Ethan William King, Camden Gage Miller and Lucas Christopher Colley, two sisters Marsha Beshears and Tammy May (Paul) along with multiple nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be William Dunnivant, Eric Widell, Jerry Johnson, Danny Betterson, Randy McDonald and Cody Barbee.
