ATV Accident In Frankin County Takes The Life Of Person; Sends Another to Hospital with Injuries

RUSSELLVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident involving an ATV has taken the life of one person and sent another person to hospital with injuries:

“A single-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. Saturday, May 4, has claimed the life of a Russellville man.

Joarthur C. McDonald, 37, was fatally injured when the Polaris Explorer he was operating overturned while negotiating a curve. McDonald was thrown from the ATV and transported to Russellville Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Colby B. Hamm, 23, of Russellville, who was a passenger of the ATV, was injured when thrown from the ATV. Hamm was also transported to Russellville Hospital for treatment.

 

The crash occurred on Franklin 78 near McCulough Road, approximately five miles east of Russellville in Franklin County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
