LAWRENCE COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident involving an ATV has taken the life of a Decatur man:
“A single-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. Friday, May 9, and has claimed the life of a Decatur man.
Larry D. Whitlock, 65, was fatally injured when the 2001 Honda Rancher ATV he was operating left the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. Whitlock was thrown from the ATV and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Lawrence County 362, approximately four miles west of Trinity, in Lawrence County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
