ATHENS– The Young Alumni Advisory Council at Athens State University will host an Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday, February 20 at the Athens SportsPlex starting at 9 a.m. All proceeds will be donated to Limestone County Churches Involved (LCCI), a local food pantry feeding the hungry families in Limestone County.
The motto of an Ice Bowl is “no wimps, no whiners” and tournaments can only be cancelled under extreme weather conditions. The entry fee is $25 per person and individuals or businesses can sponsor a hole for $20. Sponsors will receive a custom stamped disc with this year’s Ice Bowl logo.
