Athens Man Charged With Human Trafficking And Sex Crimes Against A Child

ATHENS-The Athens Police Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with several sexual abuse charges stemming from information received in February of 2023.  Payton Bolin, 20 has been taken to the Limestone County Jail with no bond.

“On February 16, 2023, the Athens Police Department received a complaint regarding the sexual abuse of the child. Following an extensive investigation, Detective Jarrod Smith developed probable cause to obtain the following warrants on Payton Andrew Bolin (20):

Human Trafficking 1st Degree

Rape 2nd Degree (2-counts)

Sodomy 1st Degree

Sodomy 2nd Degree (2-counts)

Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree (2-counts)

On March 14, 2023, Payton Bolin was located by Det. Smith and arrested on listed warrants.”  ~ Jonathan Caldwell/
