Athens Man Arrested On Animal Cruelty Charges After Allegedly Killing Kitten

ATHENS-The Athens Police Department issued a statement concerning the death of a kitten on July 6 of this year.  A suspect has been arrested and charged with animal Cruelty:

“On July 6, 2023, the Athens Police Department received a call to a local business regarding a deceased kitten located in their

parking lot. 

After reviewing surveillance video it was apparent that the kitten was killed intentionally and in a violent manner.  Vince Allan Griffin (30) was identified as the offender from the surveillance video. 

On July 11, 2023, Griffin was located and questioned.  During the interview, Griffin admitted to killing the kitten out of anger.

Following the interview, Griffin was charged with one count of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.”
