ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Flyd Johnson reports the arrest of a suspect on Sunday, January 28. The suspect has been arrested and charged with Domestic Violence 1st Degree:
“Sunday night, January 28 around 10:30 the police department received a call of a cutting in the parking lot of Applebee’s on HWY 72.
When officers arrived they located the victim a 30 year old female bleeding from her back. The victim told officers her and her boyfriend had been arguing. When they got to Applebee’s she was getting out of the vehicle when he cut her on her back and hit her in the head. The victim also told officers the offender left walking toward Best Western.
Officer Dustin Montgomery later located the offender John William Hudson on the west side of The Best Western. Hudson was charged with domestic violence first degree. He was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
