Ashley Lynn Newton McClung, 38 of Cherokee, Alabama, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023.
Ashley is preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by her daughter, Gracie Yarbrough (Alex Vargas); sons, TJ Yarbrough, Cayson McClung; parents, Sherrie and Robert Newton; sister, Tonya Willis (Tony); grandchildren, Aiden and Haiden Vargas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ashley was a lifelong resident of Cherokee. She worked as a medical assistant at Shoals Primary Care and was of the Baptist faith. Ashley was a loving and devoted mother, attended all of her children’s sporting events and activities. She loved fishing, singing, and going to the beach.
Pallbearers will be Tony Willis, Tyler Willis, Randolph Speegle, Shane Holt, Daniel Bascomb, and Eddie Andrews. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Speegle, Clint Wallace, and Josh Cody.
