Mr. Arville D. Williams, age 87, of Trinity, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Born on April 14, 1938, in Lawrence County, he was the beloved son of Leamon and Cordelia England Williams.
Arville was a proud graduate of Speak High School, Class of 1956. He married the love of his life, Glenda Smith, on July 3, 1965, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. A man of many passions, Arville was an active member of the 8ers Square Dancing Club since 1978, where he enjoyed the joy of dance and the camaraderie of friends. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was a dedicated member of the Beltline Church of Christ for over 60 years, where he found community and support.
Arville is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Alvin Williams, Verla Williams, and Evelyn Garrison. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Glenda Williams; his daughter, Stacie (Timmy) Clemmons; and his cherished grandchildren, Carson and Jordan Clemmons. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Funeral services to celebrate Arville’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, with Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service in Roselawn Cemetery. The family invites friends to gather at the funeral home one hour prior to the service to share in remembrance and support.
