FLORENCE – Arts Alive is officially in full swing. It’s going on today and tomorrow in Wilson Park and in the galleries of the Kennedy-Douglas Center for the Arts. Held every May, Arts Alive is one of the flagship cultural events in The Shoals. This year promises to be outstanding. And with a little luck from the weather, this weekend should see moderate temperatures. It will be a great time to go out and enjoy the Springtime!
The Quad-Cities Daily visited the Kennedy-Douglas galleries earlier in the week and took some “Teaser” photos of some of the works that are in the juried fine arts competition. You will not see the entirety of any particular work… Just a portion. To see all of the beautiful canvas, potteries, fabric and such… You will enjoy a casual stroll throughout the galleries.
Friday evening, a “Meet The Artists” party was held at the beautiful new Court Street Market. The Quad-Cities Daily was also on hand to record some of the early evening in EVENT PHOTOS.
We present both galleries here. Remember to scroll down past the first gallery to get down to the second one!
