Arthur W. Bonds, 89, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX. He was a WWII veteran who served in the 70th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army for three years in Central Europe, Southern France, and Berlin, Germany. He was a proud graduate of the University of Mississippi who enjoyed fishing, yard work, laughing with friends, and watching Ole Miss Football. He worked as an Insurance Adjustor for Crawford and Company, was Managing Officer for Tri-State and Loan, and after retirement, worked as a bank courier for First American National Bank until the age of 80. He also served as the Election Commissioner for Tishomingo County until 2007. Visitation is scheduled for 10 AM until 1 PM, on Saturday, November 1, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Interment will follow in Patrick Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his granddaughter, Blakley Bonds Fletcher of Houston, TX; and his extended family, Tim, Evette, LeAnne, Carly and Kimberly Vogel. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Bonds; his wife, Peggy Bonds; his brother, Mitchell Bonds; and his parents, Olen and Belvia Bonds.
