Arthur Randle ‘Randy’ Palmer, 64, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in an automobile accident. Randy was born in Starkville, MS to Jimmy and Janie Palmer. For most of his life, Randy called Lee County home. Randy was a Tupelo High School alumnus, Class of 1978, and attended Mississippi State University in pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering. After starting a family, Randy decided to begin his career. He was employed for fifteen years with Hays Construction Co. in Tupelo before becoming a private contractor and founding ARPCO, LLC. Throughout the years, he was active in the Tupelo Hog Roasters, enjoyed golfing with his friends, fishing with his father and grandfather, and taking his family boating and camping. Always having an emphasis on family, Randy enjoyed each moment shared with his loved ones. As a loving and nurturing father to his three children and a fierce friend to all, he will be missed dearly. He was a member of the West Main Church of Christ, an avid MSU Bulldogs fan, and in death, Randy gave tissue as an anatomical donor so that others could live.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2025 in the Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo with Bro. Johnny Hamblin and Bro. Donny Hamblin officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM to service time Saturday only at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Camp Creek Cemetery. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at 1 PM on Saturday at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming and archived thereafter.

Randy is survived by his loving mother and best friend, Janie Hamblin Palmer of Tupelo; his daughter, Mandy Palmer Netadj of Jackson; his sons, Jake and Caleb Palmer (Renea) of Saltillo; the mother of his children, Carol Spradling Palmer of Tupelo; a beloved brother, Mitchell Palmer (Tammy) of Starkville; his three sisters, Jan Palmer Clayton (NT) of Auburn, Susan Palmer McGloflin of Troy, and Lisa Palmer Ramey (Chip) of Dorsey; his grandchildren, Mylen, Keller, and Ada Netadj as well as Morgan Palmer; and a host of nieces, nephews, significant friends, and professional acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Palmer of Tupelo; his grandparents, Albert and Bonnie Hamblin of Guntown along with Bonnie and Lula Mae Palmer of Guntown; and a very special brother-in-law, Mike McGloflin.
