Arthur Morgan Ridinger, age 91, of Athens passed away Friday, March 4, 2016. He was born September 1, 1924 in Athens, Alabama to John Ridinger and Jessie Sherill Ridinger.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jessie Ridinger, wife, Lucille Bessie Ridinger, son, John Franklin Ridinger, and sister, Lula Mae Ridinger.
Services will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Doug Colwell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 12:00pm until 1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at New Salem Cemetery.
Arthur is survived by his daughters, Judy Gail Ridinger Moss and Vickie Lou Ridinger Dollar, his sister, Mandy Bea VanHoozer, his brother, Robert Ridinger, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren.
Arthur is a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II.
Pallbearers will be: Roy Mencia, Nathaniel Mencia, Wayne Williams, Ricky VanHoozer, Jeff VanHoozer and Alton Nix. Honorary pallbearer will be Jose Martinez.
