Rev. Arthur Middleton, 92, of Cordova, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Princeton in Birmingham.
Family will be receiving friends on Monday, June 22, 2020, from 12 until 1:30 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Walker Memory Gardens with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Rev. Rick Sherer will officiate.
Bro. Arthur was born in Arkansas. He was a Pastor and Minister to various churches in Alabama, and even after he retired he loved the opportunity to fill in for other pastors as needed. A member of Samaria Baptist Church who, even at the age of 92, was willing to teach a class, lead singing, or serve in any position God opened a door for him. Bro. Arthur was preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Bertha Middleton; parents, Charlie Hershal Middleton and Edna Siler Middleton.
He is survived by sons, Arthur Lee Middleton, Jr (Carol) of Fairhope, Al; Billy Joe Middleton of Jasper; grandchildren, Mendy Boyd, Matthew Middleton, and John Mark Middleton, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Samaria Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1365, Jasper, Al 35502.
