FLORENCE-The Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts will be hosting an art journal workshop, “The Artist’s Way” with Monica Yother, of Studio 127, on Sat., October 7th at 1:00- 3:30 pm. For anyone interested in starting an art journal, this is a great way to begin!
“The Artist’s Way”, by Julia Cameron is more than a book, it’s a life changer! This course is a twelve-week experience, not just a class. Participants will meet for 2.5 hours on October 7, where they will dive into the book for a short overview and discussion, pick up supplies, learn new techniques and spend time creating. Afterwards they can go forward at their own pace at home, or choose to join a weekly zoom meeting (which will be recorded so participants can have access to it later). Twelve technique videos will be provided to everyone who signs up, as well as the following:
- A copy of the book
- A fresh new art journal
- A notebook for your Morning Pages
- A smooth writing gel pen
- A large Creativity Bundle
- Art Journal Primer
- Access to 12 videos showing techniques.
