DECATUR-Decatur Police Department’s Special Operations United served a search warrant at the residence of 613 Cedar Lake Road in Decatur. They found almost 40 pounds of marijuana. here is how the Decatur Police describe the events:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On March 21, 2014, members of the Decatur Police Department’s Special Operations Unit executed a narcotics search warrant at the residence of 613 Cedar Lake Road Southwest Decatur, Alabama.
During the execution of the warrant, Officers made entry into the residence. While inside the

residence, Mario Gibson and Rosie Gibson were located and detained inside their bedroom. After the residence was secured, officers searched the residence and premises.During the search, officers located a loaded handgun that was within immediate reach of both Mario and Rosie. Officers then located drug

paraphernalia and a large quantity of marijuana that was in excess of 38 pounds. The marijuana seized had a street value of approximately $46,000.00. Officers continued their search and also located approximately $10,000.00 in U.S. currency. The currency was seized pending condemnation proceedings.
Mario was placed under arrest for Trafficking in Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Rosie was placed under arrest for Trafficking in Cannabis.
Both were transported to Decatur City Jail where they were booked in and processed.
Mario will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $25,500.00 bond in which $25,000.00 must be satisfied with cash only.
Rosie will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,500.00.”
