Arrested for filing false report to police officer

Jennifer TuckerDECATUR-Jennifer Tucker filed a false report with Decatur Police on February 1st and on February 4th admitted to filing a false report.  Here is what Decatur Police have to say about this case:

“On February 1st, 2014 Jennifer Tucker filed a Robbery 1st Degree report with the Decatur Police Department. Jennifer who is an assistant manager at Burger King was taking a deposit for the business to a local bank. 

At 2:45 pm, Jennifer said as she was driving in the 2000 block of Beltline Access Rd SW Decatur, AL 35601 when she was robbed. Jennifer reported the robber was armed with a handgun and knife. She said a man got into her car and made her drive him around Morgan County for two hours. Jennifer said the man had her pull into a church on Norris Mill where he exited her vehicle and left with the money.

Det. Joshua Fisher of the Violent Crimes Unit was notified of the situation. Det. Fisher spoke with Jennifer about the robbery on February 1st and February 3rd, 2014. 

On February 4th, 2014 Jennifer came to the Decatur Police Department and admitted to detectives that she filed a false report. Jennifer said she is having financial problems and lied about being robbed.

Jennifer was arrested for False Reporting to Law Enforcement Officer. Jennifer was escorted to the Decatur City Jail where she was charged and booked in for False Reporting to a Law Enforcement Officer which is a misdemeanor charge. She will be released on a $500.00 bond.”
