MORGAN COUNTY-Sheriff Ana Franklin via her Facebook page reports the arrest of a 27 year old man on assault charges.
Here is how it went down:
Patrol deputies responded to a call concerning an assault at 2014 Rescue Road in the Union Grove area of Morgan County yesterday. It resulted in the arrest of a 27 year old man on a charge of assault in the second degree.
“Patrol deputies responded to the scene, and after speaking to persons there began to BOLO (be on the lookout) for a vehicle containing the suspect and another individual. The deputies located the vehicle and detained those persons inside, calling for investigators to respond.
Two investigators responded to the deputies location while a third proceeded to the hospital where the victim was being treated. The investigators interviewed the persons at the scene and recovered the weapon used in the assault, a folding knife. The victim was treated and released.
All of the persons involved lived at the rescue road address.
Investigators arrested Brandon Phillip Smith on a charge of assault 2nd degree. He is currently in the Morgan County jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.”
