Arnold Bennett Clemmons, age 70, of Florence, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at his brother’s residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and a member of Stony Point Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Doy Hollman and Walter Rayburn. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Clemmons was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann (Carroll) Clemmons; infant daughter, Tonda Renea Clemmons; father, Henry T. Clemmons.
He is survived by his mother, Vida Clemmons; brothers, James, Charles and Ricky Clemmons, all of Florence; sisters, Juanita Goodman, of Lexington, Norma DeWeese, of Center Star, Nan and Ann Clemmons, Bobbie Rayburn, all of Florence; nieces; nephews; greatnieces; and greatnephews; special friend, Raymond Scott.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Clemmons, Casey Rayburn, Jerry Rayburn, Ben Carroll, Garrette Carroll and Raymond Scott.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of his brothers and sisters in the Lord at Stony Point Church of Christ.
A very special thanks to Hospice of the Shoals and staff, Bethany Osborn, Kaye Ray, Vikki Stout and Norma Davis for the support and care given to Arnold.
