Jesse Mae Jordan Adcock Martin or as most people knew her, Boo, age 96 of Arab, AL passed away on March 14, 2022. Boo was born in Centertown, TN July 18, 1925. She was the proud proprietor of The Towne Shop, an upscale lady’s boutique in McMinnville, TN for 35 years. Known for her unwavering faith, she was also an accomplished cook, along-time horse show enthusiast and an avid professional sports fan; however, her main source of pride was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents Willie A. Jordan and Ethel Jordan Whitlock, her husband of 45 years Leon Adcock, her daughter Brenda Upton, brothers Randall and Kelly Jordan, sister Isobel Jordan Smith, and husband of 9 years Terry Martin.
Survivors include her daughter Nancy (Tommy) Stewart, grandchildren Cliff Carlock, Brad Kirby, Lee (Becca) Upton, Jordan (Heather) Stewart, great-grandchildren Josh (Emalie) Carlock, Kirby Carlock, Lane Upton, Carson Upton, Raychel Stewart, Paige Stewart, and Sam Stewart.
The family will host visitation from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Arab First United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Arab First United Methodist Church. Todd Henderson and Kenny Baskins will be officiating the service. Graveside service will follow at New Friendship Baptist Church.
