Arlene Lois Wright Conkey, 72 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, December 20th, 2020 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Conkey was born on July 4th, 1948 to Frank Edgar Wright and Mildred Christman Wright.
Funeral services for Mrs. Conkey will be Monday, January 4th, 2021 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church at 2:00pm, with Dr. Juaken Dumas officiating. She will be lying at state from 1:00-2:00pm at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Conkey is survived by her husband Gary Conkey; son Zeland Boice; Daughter Teri Wright (Donald); stepson Andrew Conkey; brother Frank Wright; brother in law Stewart Conkey; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; and stepson Gary Conkey, Jr..
