DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department responded to a call from Morgan County Central Dispatch Sunday,
Tommie Dantez Williams
June 8th at around 9pm on a Domestic Violence call. Here is how the police department described the incident and arrest:
SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
“On June 8, 2014 at 9:13 pm, Morgan County Central Dispatch received a Domestic Violence call from Parkway Place Apartments Apt D5 located at 2115 Central Parkway SW Decatur, AL 35601.
Officers with the Decatur Police Department’s Patrol Division arrived on scene. Officers located 28 year old Martell Santez Williams and 25 year old Tommie Dantez Williams. Martell was suffering from multiple stab wounds to his head and face. Tommie had bruising to his left and right bicep.
Martell was transported by a personal vehicle to Decatur Morgan Hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries. Tommie did not receive medical treatment.
Det. Joshua Fisher of the Violent Crimes Unit was notified and responded to the scene.
During the investigation it was learned that Martell and Tommie where involved in a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation. Tommie armed himself with a knife and stabbed Martell multiple times.
Tommie was transported to the Decatur Police Department where he was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence 2nd Degree. Tommie was escorted to the Decatur City Jail where he was booked in. Tommie was transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond.”
