Archie T. Hardin, 83, died Monday, May 20, 2019 at Southern Magnolia Estates, Golden, MS. He was born to Taft and Eunice Hudson Hardin on October 12, 1935 in Franklin County, AL. Archie was retired from the State Highway Department. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the kids play ball. He loved the Crimson Tide of Alabama. He was a member and deacon at Pilot Hill Baptist Church and loved his family and God.

Services will be Wednesday, May 22, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Arthur Hardin and Alton Hester officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by three children – Alice Pitts (Tony), Joe Hardin (Laura) and Rita Parrish (David) all of Vina, AL; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother – Arthur Hardin (Lisa) Belmont, MS; four sisters-in-law – Yvonne Williford, Hodges, AL, Joyce Holland, Carol Jones (Kinneth) Russellville, AL and Lorna Strickland of Michigan and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Hardin; his parents; two brothers, Howard and Andy Hardin; two sisters, Beulah Thornton and Sharon Ball; son-in-law, Joe Clack and daughter-in-law, Gina Hardin.

Pallbearers will be Shane Clack, Stuart Clack, Joshua Parrish, Sam Pennington, Mark Hardin and Anthony Hardin.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 21, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
