Archie LaFayette Custer, age 99 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Archie was born on September 27, 1921 in Monteagle to the late Henry Jacob and Gertrude Lappin Custer. He was employed for many years at AEDC as an outside store keeper. In his free time he greatly enjoyed gardening, farming, and raising goats and cattle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Mae Mason Custer; siblings, Henry Custer, Frances Looney, and Robert Lyle Custer. He is survived by his sons, Eddie (Suzanne) Custer, Phillip (Patty) Custer both of Winchester; grandchildren, Archie Custer, Aimee Ortiz, Deidre Moon, Andrew Flatt, Anna Flatt, Michelle Neal; and great-grandchild, Trace Custer. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Winchester Memorial Park, with Bro Byron Lawrence officiating.
