April Renee Browne Frierson, age 50, of Columbia, previously of Detroit, Michigan, departed this life on May 28, 2018.
She was born on November 12, 1967 in Akron, Ohio to David “Buddy” Dortch and Eyvonne Vader. April attended Finney High School, in Detroit, Michigan before attending Saginaw Valley College, Saginaw, Michigan and Knoxville College, Knoxville, Tennessee. April obeyed the gospel of Christ as a young adult. Family and friends were April’s passion and delight. April was an avid sports fan.
April was preceded in death by her father David “Buddy” Dortch, her mother Eyvonne Vader and her brother Darron Smith. April is survived by her children, Miracle Angelique Frierson, Thomas Ray Frierson II and India Nicole Frierson, a sister, Angela (Anthony) Foster, nephew, Kevin Lett and niece, Ayanna Lett. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends and god-siblings.
Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon and funeral service to follow at the Heritage Funeral Home, Columbia, Tennessee with Bro. Harvey Jackson of Cleveland, Mississippi as the eulogist. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for April during her illness.
