Apollonia Maria “Loni” Eisele Williams age 88, of Arab passed away Wed. Aug. 16, 2023, at her residence. Loni was born on Feb. 12, 1935, in Wiesbaden, Germany the daughter of Paul and Else Sopp Eisele. She was married to Luke Williams and they moved to Arab in 1965. Upon coming to Arab she founded Arab’s German Club. She and Luke were members of the Arab First Baptist Church. She also worked for many years at Bishop’s Jewelry. She is survived by her daughters: Sandra Williams Smith and husband, Bob Smith and Donna Williams Talley; grandchildren: Rachel Toews and husband, David Toews, Meagan Yeary and husband, Tyler Yeary, Sarah Gilvin and husband, Billy Gilvin and Colton Talley; great grandchildren: Madelyn, Hannah and Jeremiah Toews, Elias and Aubrey Yeary, Anne Gilvin and another great granddaughter soon to arrive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Else Eisele; 4 brothers and 2 sisters; husband: Luke Williams and grandson: Taylor Smith. The family would like to express special thanks to Loni’s caregivers, Myra Weaver, Anna Kay Martin, Shepherd’s Cove Hospice and others for their exceptional care.
Funeral Service will be Sat. Aug. 19, 2023, at 11 AM at Gober Funeral Chapel with Dr. Paul Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Brookwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat. from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association or the Arab First Baptist Church.
