Born on February 1, 1960 in Giles County, Tennessee, Anthony graduated from Speake High School. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Anthony enjoyed rabbit hunting and running dogs, traveling, and watching Andy Griffin. He was also a member of the Hatton Masonic Lodge, #879.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Jacquelyn Archer; children, Chad (Jessica) Archer, and Chelsie Archer; grandchildren, Raelyn Archer, Hadlyn Archer, Tayze Johnson, Nyla Johnson, and Laynie Johnson; sisters, Kim (Stephen) Pace, and Nina Cameron; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Darlene Long; mother-in-law, Helen Huckeba; and father-in-law, Ray Huckeba.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Pace, Mark Bradford, Rickey Fike, Eric Huckeba, Lance Pace, and Jeff Flannigan. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Huckeba, and Tayze Johnson.
The family extends special thanks to Alabama Hospice of the Shoals, Helen Keller staff, Clearview Cancer Institute in Florence, Centerwell Home Health, his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
