Mr. Anthony Joseph Schaffer of Cullman Alabama passed away October 17, 2019 at the age of 87. He was born in Cullman January 12, 1932 to Jacob and Marcella Mary Schnurr Schaffer. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Angela L. Schaffer, sister Clotilda “Cleo” Stewart, brothers Louis Schaffer, Charles Schaffer. Mr. Schaffer is a veteran of The United States Army and he worked at NASA as a chemical engineer. A Funeral Mass is Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Patrick Egan OSB officiating. Interment will follow services in the Catholic Cemetery. Survivors are: Wife of 63 years Helen H. Schaffer, daughter Rebecca J. (Jerry) Parker, sons Stanley J. (Deborah) Schaffer, Mark A. (Candace) Schaffer, brother Norbert Schaffer, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation is Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM and a Rosary at 7:30 PM at Moss Funeral Home Chape
