Annie Ruth Card George – Obituary

Annie Ruth Card George, 77, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at her home. She was born June 9, 1936, in Houston to James G. “Jim” and Eunice Cannon Johnson. She was a member of Living Water Community Church.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday, September 19, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Mark Tutor and Bro. Robert Humphres officiating. Burial will be in the Fawn Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Butch Card (Lisa) of Fulton and Pat Card (Barbara) and Rusty Card, all of Mantachie; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leslie Johnson of Lacy, WA; two sisters, Betty Haygood and Mary Hughes, both of Houston; and special friends, Winnie Strange and the caregivers of Gentive Hospice and Home Health.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O. T. George; two sons, Charles Card, Sr., and David Card; a granddaughter, Dallas Card; two sisters, Willie Taylor and Edith Fason; two brothers, Kenny Johnson and Van Johnson; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Danny Bell, Donnie Bell, Travis Barkley, Andy Loague, Will Loague, and Mark Jones.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
