Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Pearl Horn, age 99 of Talladega, will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Clairmont Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Harrelson officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining Cemetery.
Mrs. Horn passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Clay County Nursing Home. Born and raised in Clay County, she worked at the Bemiston Cotton Mill in Talladega and did volunteer work for the U.S. Forestry Service, but spent most of her life as a Homemaker. She raised cows and chickens on her farm, would spend hours picking blackberries with her children, loved to quilt and preserving foods through canning. She was a member of Clairmont Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by four sons: Jerry L. Horn (Pat) of Talladega, Bloyce W. Horn (Wanda) of Marietta, GA, Carey Olin Horn (Linda) of Pell City and George Nunn Horn of Oxford, AL.; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; her special niece: Margaret Earle (Jim) of Talladega, and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Fletcher Nunn and Lena Mitchum Nunn, her husband, Wyatt Olin Horn, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Active Pallbearers will be: Langdon Goray, Wyatt Ladelle Goray, Christian Adams, Brian Horn, Scott Horn, Sam Horn.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Glenn Harris, Dwight Harris, David Sobers, Nick Jordan, Gary Owens, Boyden Horn, Andy Howell, Mel Jordan, and Jim Earle.
The family will receive friends at Clairmont Springs Baptist Church from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm. Flowers are accepted; however, the family would also appreciate donations be made out to Clairmont Springs Baptist Church.
