A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Annie Menelia Key McGinnies, 88 of Hartselle will be noon Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant C.M.E. Church in Hartselle with the Reverends Carol Cain Franklin and Mitchell Cowley officiating and the Reverend J.C. Davis, host pastor. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. Inhumation will follow in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Public viewing will be Tuesday from 2-7 and Wednesday from 10-7 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Annie Menelia Key McGinnies was born on April 24, 1926 to Henry and Minnie Graham Key in Somerville, Alabama. She passed this life at her residence on June 21, 2014 in Hartselle, Alabama.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Wards Chapel CME Church in Somerville, Alabama. She later joined Mt Pleasant CME Church where she worshipped and served faithfully as a Stewardess and Choir member f or many years.
She was united in marriage to the late Floyd Leon McGregor, Sr., James Cordie Warren, and Spurgeon McGinnies.
She was preceded in death by one son: Floyd Leon McGregor, Jr; four sisters: Jeanette Bibb, Omma Clyde Griffin, Magnolia Lewis, Lizzell Cowley; two brothers: William Tabscott and Carl Key.
She leaves to cherish in her memory: one daughter, Peggy McGregor of Hartselle; one son, David (Ivonne) Warren of El Paso, Texas; four grandchildren, Tia Harden of Huntsville, Victor McGregor of Hartselle, Jeremy and Anne-Marie Warren of El Paso, Texas; two great grandchildren, Precious (Cramin) McGregor-Wiltz of Madison and Kevin Baker of Pell City; two great grandchildren, one daughter-in law, Glenda S. McGregor of Hartselle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Flower Attendants will be Annette Lyons, Alberta Griffin, Mary Elliott, Judy Hullett, Chiffon Cowley, Angela Elliott and Rita Elliott.
Pallbearers will be Henry Davis Jr., Donnie Cowley, Warren Griffin, William Jackson, Ralph Lyons and Terry Orr.
