Annie Marie Dixon went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Her funeral service will be Tuesday, January 13th at 2:30 p.m. at Boaz Carr Chapel with interment at Snead Memorial Cemetery. Brother Tony Holcomb will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Grandson, Dawson Amos and Nephews, Randall Green, Travis Mizell, Mickey Gerald Lemons, Jake Mercer, Keigh Hargett and Adam Green. Visitation will be 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 at Boaz Carr Chapel.
She is survived by her sons; Scott Dixon and Michael Dixon (Carrie), daughter; Melissa Amos (Jason), grandchildren; John Sloan (Christy), Erin Miller (Heath), Leah Compton (Collin), Dawson Amos (Graci) and Christen Amos, great-grandchildren; Noah and Shephard Sloan and Duncan, Preston and Sloan Miller. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law; Barbara Green and Joan Green.
She is proceeded in death by her husband; W. C. Dixon, parents; Forrest and Imogene Lee Green, brothers; Archie, Gerald and Billy Green and sisters; Myrtle Butler, Gaynell Lemons and Bessie Moore.
Annie was a retired Cosmetologist. She operated her own business, Annie’s Beauty Shop, for over 35 years.
Annie was a member of the Attalla Golden Age Club, Boaz Senior Center, Encouragers of Rainbow City, Beulah Baptist Joy Club and Red Hatters of Gadsden. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, loved taking trips and sharing a good meal with them.
Annie enjoyed going to church and was always ready for a good old fashioned Southern Gospel singing. She also enjoyed volunteering at Marshall Medical Center South where she could meet and greet people and share a good story and laugh.
Annie loved life and lived it to the fullest for all of her 81 years. She loved her children and her grandchildren; she considered them to be her greatest blessings in this life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, and if you knew Annie, you knew she never met a stranger.
