Annie Mai Duncan BrownAnnie Mai Duncan Brown, 95, longtime resident of the Hampshire Community, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at her daughter’s residence in Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Matthew Kincade officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends after 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born December 11, 1923 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Garfield Duncan and the late Macie Farris Duncan. On March 4, 1945, she married Sam Shannon Brown who preceded her in death March 14, 1999. She was a graduate of Hampshire High School. Mrs. Brown enjoyed sewing and had made quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of Cathey’s Creek Church of Christ,

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Lee (Larry) Church of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Russell (Denise) Wheat, Gina (Matthew) Cochran, Bonnie (Tony) Roder, April (Scott) Davis; great grandchildren, Cole Davis, Abby Davis, Sadie Roder, Anna-Kate Davis, Hannah-Jane Davis, Emmy FaeFawn Davis, Sam Cochran, Elizabeth Cochran; Alex Cochran, Gracen Wheat; son-in-law, Weldon (Shelia) Wheat; sister-in-law, Sara Duncan; nephew, Tommy (Carolyn) Duncan; niece, Kathie Parks; and special friends, Patty Grimmitt, Sara Dale and Reba Savage.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Ann Wheat; brothers, Cecil Duncan and Glenn Duncan; and sister-in-law, Betsy Glazier.

Pallbearers will be Tony Roder, Scott Davis, Matthew Cochran, Cole Davis, Sam Cochran, Tommy Duncan, Brandon Hughes, Russell Wheat, and Alex Cochran.
