Annie Mae Southward died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Tishomingo County, Ms. and was a seamstress at Golden Manufacturing for 25 years. She was a member of Carters Branch Church of Christ.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Ms. with Bro. Thomas Holiday officiating. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery, Tishomingo, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are two children – Buddie Southward Jr. and Anna Southward (Jeff Rogers) all of Tishomingo, Ms.; one granddaughter – Cherri Cox, Tishomingo, Ms.; one great-grandson-Myles Cox, Tishomingo, Ms.; one step-great-grandson – Latherio Cox, Aberdeen, Ms.; two sisters-in-law – Azzie Lee Martin, Red Bay, Al. and Minnie Lee Murray, Athens, Al.; one brother-in-law – Eddie Gene Southward, Chicago, Il.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddie Southward Sr., her parents, Johnnie Martin and Henrietta Burgess Martin and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be Kenny South, Lane Nunley, J.T. Carr, George Powell and Floyd Brock.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. and until service time on Wednesday.
