Mrs. Annie Mae Kirk, age 92 of Bolivar, passed away Monday morning, February 9, 2015 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of Buford Kirk, who died on March 26, 1973, she was retired as a production worker at Harman Automotive, having worked there over 20 years. She was born January 21, 1923 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Walter Eugene Cofer and Lola Beatrice Burnett Cofer and was lifelong resident of Hornsby. She enjoyed gardening and was a master seamstress. Mrs. Kirk was a member of Hornsby Baptist Church where she had previously sung in the choir.
Survivors include a brother, Joe Cofer of Bolivar; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Nuckolls; two sisters, Beatrice Hodge and Lucy Howell and a brother, Gene Cofer. The family requests memorial donations in Mrs. Kirk’s name be made to Hornsby Baptist Church.
