Annie Jean Moffitt, 75, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital – Olive Branch, MS. She loved her family and friends, being outside working with flowers and gardening, laughing, and working crossword puzzles. Home was her favorite place to be. She made her memories and told her family many times, “Don’t wait on memories to just happen. Make your memories happen.”
Survivors include her daughter, Susanne McCrory; her granddaughter, Alana Remington; sister, Sue Swords; nephew, Patrick Swords; and niece, Bonnie Kay Swords.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Moffitt; her son, Timmy Gann; grandson, Rodney Gann; mother, Annie Grace Rakestraw; and her father, James Eurie Hill.
Services will be Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 12 noon at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Ron Harvey and Bro. David McCrory officiating. Visitation will begin at 10AM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Cairo Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Hill, Bryant Gann, Jerry Gann, Ricky Gann, and B.J. Self.
