Funeral services for Annette T. Brooks, age 85 of Hanceville, will be conducted on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend James Fields officiating. Mrs. Brooks will lie in state at Hanceville Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time.
Annette was born in Blountsville, Alabama on July 14, 1937 to Lawrence Johns and Irene Kasulka Johns. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oren Brooks, Sr.; children, Oren Brooks, Jr. and Gary Lynn Brooks; parents, Lawrence and Irene Johns; sister, Shirley Beshears; brother, Dwight Johns. She is survived by her daughter, Marteen Barbee (Shane) Bailey; daughters in law, Sonja Brooks and Trisha Brooks; grandchildren, Elisha Thomas, Erica (Josh) Stoves, Courtney (Tommy) Beckwith and Jayce Brooks-Barbee; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Carol Striker and Doris Faulkner; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Stoves, Tommy Beckwith, Michael Falkner, Mitch Beshears, Luke Bailey and Shane Harper.
