Annette McInnish Swinney, age 86, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Saturday, May 09, 2026, at her residence. She was born August 18, 1939, in Bear Creek, AL to Raymond & Mittie (Taylor) McInnish.
Annette loved her children, grandchildren, and especially her great grands. She loved to travel and enjoyed going to the mountains with her family. She was always there for her family and will be missed tremendously.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Jeff Swinney (Rhonda), Sandra Keplinger (Johnny), Donna Nix (Felix); grandchildren, Brice Dobbins (Chris), Courtney Karr (Jerrod), Whitney Hutcheson (Burt), Hannah Oliver (Chase), Austin Nix (Alyssa), Christian Waid (Matt), Zack Saint (Jennifer), Laken Boyles (Heath); great-grandchildren, Isaiah Hurley (Camille), Ava Reid, Landon McLemore, Sadie McLemore, Gunner Karr, River Karr, Journey Karr, Finley Karr, Emma Hutcheson, Easton Hutcheson, Raylee Oliver, Riggs Oliver, Millie Reese Oliver, Adley Nix, Archer Nix, Saylor Waid, Beck Waid, Sipsey Barnett, Eli Barnett, several nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Buddy Swinney, Hubert Swinney; mother, Mittie Taylor McInnish; father, Raymond McInnish; sisters, Ester Broad, Jeanette Haddock; and brother, Ellis McInnish.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jerry Pounders officiating the service. The burial will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Phil Campbell.
The pallbearers will be Zack, Matt, Gunner, River, Isaiah, and Landon.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of North Alabama Hospice for your love and care of our mother. Also, we want to thank Temple Baptist, Pleasant Hill Congregational Church, and North Russellville Baptist Church for your caring thoughts, prayers, and visits to the family during this time.
