Annette Abercrombie McAnally It is with deep sadness and regret that we announced the death of our beloved mother,
grandmother, and great grandmother, Annette Abercrombie McAnally. She passed away in
Huntsville Hospital on Saturday, August 31, 2024 with her family by her side. Annette was
born in Marshall County, Alabama May 11, 1948. She was 76 years old. Her parents were
Harold Glenard Abercrombie and Bessie Ruth Bowling Abercrombie. She and her family
have been lifelong residents of the Union Hill community of Morgan County, AL. Annette
was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Center Grove.
Annette previously worked at Huntsville Hospital as a Medical records Technician.

Our beloved Mother touched the hearts of everyone who knew her and loved her children,
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. She gave so much of herself and asked so
little from anyone. She loved watching Alabama football, listening to gospel music, singing,
and playing piano.

Family members Annette leaves behind to cherish their memories include her children,
Steven Lamar McAnally (Angie), Mark Anthony McAnally, Harold Glenard McAnally, Karen
Lynette Hughey (Mike Clemons) and Christie Jo Dodge (Russ); her grandchildren, Donnie
Hughey (Liz), Jill Persle (Adam), Nick McAnally (Emily) and Trevor Dodge; seven great
grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Marlar (Glenn), Ellen Blouir (Allen), and Elizabeth Fowler.

Preceding Annette in death were her parents, Harold and Bessie Ruth Abercrombie; sister, Jackie Marlar, niece, Theresa Gullion; nephews, Charlie Blouir, Kevin Blouir and Jay Marlar.

Services for Annette will be on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Brindlee Mountain
Chapel in Morgan City, Alabama. The family will receive friends and guest at a visitation
service from 1:00pm until the funeral service begins at 3:00pm. Brother James Wray and
Brother Gary Peebles will be officiating. Escorting Annette to her final resting place in New Canaan Cemetery at Union Hill, will be Donnie Hughey, Adam Persle, Nick McAnally, Trevor Dodge, Dakota Sheppard and Carson Persle. Honorary pallbearer will be Sawyer Persle.
