Anne Teel Noblitt – Obituary

anneAnne Teel Noblitt a long time resident of Athens, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at River City Care and Rehab Center. She was 78 years old. Mrs. Noblitt was born November 15, 1935 in Moulton, AL to Thomas Teel and Sovola Lamon.

Services for Mrs. Noblitt are Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 11:30 until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dancy’s Chapel Cemetery with Mike Brooks officiating.

She most enjoyed visiting her daughters and grandchildren. She loved to entertain friends and family, work in her yard and garden, sew, decorate her home and faithfully serve at her church.

She graduated high school in 1954 from Decatur High School and also graduated from Athens State University. She was employed by Athens Hospital, City of Athens, Parisian and Intergraph. She was an avid traveler. She traveled to all 50 states, as well as Mexico, Canada and numerous European countries. Her latest trip was to Russia last summer.

Preceded in death by her husband, Clem Noblitt; son, Robert King Moore, Jr.; son-in-law, David H. Butler.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Moore Butler and Susan Moore Brown and husband Tom Brown; daughter-in-law, Angela Johnson; grandchildren, Trey Moore, Blair Butler, Kelsey Butler, Breanna Brown and Lachlan Brown; brother, Tom Teel and wife Karen Teel; sister, Dot Teel.
