Anne Carlisle Burke Smith, age 74, of Hunstville, AL passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Annette Burke, her beloved dog, George, who rarely left her side, and her husband Otis “Roy” Leroy Smith. She is survived by her sons, Tadd Smith (Stephanie Parker) and Craig Smith (Deona Fish).
She was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and found strength and peace in her faith. Anne was happiest at home, surrounded by the simple comforts she loved—hot coffee, a good dessert, and her faithful dog, George, never far from her side. A proud Auburn fan, she rarely missed watching the games and cheered on the Tigers with true spirit.
A small prayer service and interment of ashes will be held on May 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church Columbarium. Close friends and family are invited to attend.
