Annalia Christine Montany, age 37 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on August 22, 2021. She was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and settled in Tennessee after living on Maui, Oahu, and spending several years abroad in Denmark. She is survived by her beloved partner, David Knox; her parents, Stephen Montany and Christine Bailey; her siblings, Eric Montany and wife Rachel, Carena Kay and husband Lewis, Marisa Montany and husband Dylan Kee; her nieces and nephew, Maple, Aleksa, and Ezra; and her loyal little dog, Barkley.

Annalia was intelligent, exceptionally kind, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved singing, playing the piano, bodyboarding, walking her dogs, reading books, and studying history. She worked as a librarian and archivist at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, DIS Copenhagen, and the Smyrna Public Library, and was pursuing her graduate degree in library science. Annalia was an unfailing support to those who knew her and will be missed dearly.

Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday, September 1st at 4:00pm at St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church in Murfreesboro, TN. The funeral service will be on Thursday, September 2nd at 11:00am. The burial will follow at the St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church Cemetery.
