Anna Rebecca “Becky” Humbers
November 26, 1945 – February 19, 2023
Becky died on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the age of 77 in Haleyville, Alabama. Becky was born on November 26, 1945 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Grady Martin Hill and the late Anna Elizabeth Kent Hill.
Becky is survived by her four children: Jeanette Cole, Susan Hunter (Bill), Danny Humbers, and Dorothy Meyer (Gary Miles). She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Lacie Nolin (Ron), Leigh Anne Pritchard (Drew), Logan Barnes, Josh Cole (Valerie), Will Hunter, Derek Miles (Kellye), Natasha Miles, and Whitley Burroughs (Bob). And twelve great-grandchildren: Halle and Leigha Lewis; Emily and Austin Pritchard; Allie and Hunter Nolin; Collins and Shelby Cole; Peyton, Presley, and Phoenix Burroughs; and Maddox Miles.
Becky was a long-time resident of Vernon, Alabama and retired from Black’s BBQ in 2006. Over the years, Becky met many people whom she cherished and considered close friends. Becky spent her final days with her family whom she loved with her whole heart. The Humbers family is greatly appreciative of the outstanding care that Becky received from Enhabit Hospice Care and at the Haleyville Health and Rehab Center.
A celebration of life will take place at Otts Funeral Home in Sulligent, Alabama on Sunday, February 26 at 3:00pm with Bro. David Sullivan officiating. The family will receive friends and visitors one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment will take place at Olive Hill Cemetery in Beaverton, Alabama following the memorial service.
