Mae Williams Yocom Anna Mae Williams Yocom, age 91 passed from this life on Sunday, September 14, 2025. She was greatly loved by all and will be greatly missed. We were blessed to have her with us for so many years.

Mae was born on November 30, 1933, in Marion County and attended school at Hackleburg and Wiginton schools. She was a hairdresser for a while in her home, was a line supervisor at Russellville Sportswear; and worked in shipping at Celotex until she retired.

Mae had a fun, loving, and outgoing personality. She could always find the good in everyone and always had a smile on her face. She was the Queen Mother of her chapter, the Dixie Star Dollies and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was very stylish, always loved to dress fashionably, wearing her jewelry and bling from head to toe, and loved wearing hats to match her outfits. Mae loved all animals, from fish, turtles, cats, dogs, and even adopting raccoons and possums. She loved to cruise and travel with her family and friends. She could always be counted on to have a good time wherever she was. But first and foremost, she was a Christian lady who loved to attend church. She leaves us with many wonderful memories and stories to share.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Yocom; father, Dalton Williams; mother, Myrtle (Dollar) Weems; stepfather, Vilous Weems; siblings, Lynn Williams, Donald Williams, Jimmy Weems; and daughter-in-law, Gladys Howell Yocom.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Ray Yocom (Denise), Judy Yocom Allen; grandchildren, Michael Allen (Heather), Candi Ghrigsby (Cliff), Tonya James (Booper); great-grandchildren, Dylan Bales, Kallie Allen, Braden Bales, Keslie Saint (Korey), Chloe James, Charleigh Mae James; sisters, Alice Hall, Carolyn Stevens (Steve), Rita Tarver (Dennis); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Thomas Loyd officiating the service. The burial will be at Gravel Hill in the Mtn Star community.

The pallbearers will be Michael Allen, Booper James, Cliff Ghrigsby, Dylan Bales, Braden Bales, and Korey Saint. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian Weems.
