Anna Loyce “Ann” Clemons Ward, age 79, died on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born on April 9, 1943 in Chickasaw Co. to Leroy and Loyce Clemons. Ann graduated High School and moved to New Jersey for 10 years. She then moved to California where she worked for 9 years at Rockwell/Delta Power Tools Manufacturing Co. She returned to her Mississippi home in l982 and married Jerry Ward on March 10, l984. She worked many years at Peoplounger’s Furniture Mfg in Nettleton as an Inspector. Ann was a masterful shopper, enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and traveling about the country. She was a member of the Carnation Baptist Church in Okolona
Services will be held 2 PM Sunday, January 1st, 2023 from the Okolona Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Jody Rock officiating. Private burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery- Chickasaw County. Visitation will begin at noon and continue until service time Sunday only at the Okolona Chapel. Pallbearers will be Keith James, Brian James, Zach Rounsaville, Casey Rounsaville, Roger Ward, Randy Parker, David Mize and Jimmy Capps.
Ann is survived by her husband, Jerry Ward of Houlka; her daughters Paula Ward Rounsaville (Quinn) and Karen Jarek; her grandchildren Zach Rounsaville (Memrie), Corie Carpenter, Casey Rounsaville (Katelyn), Gary McNabb, Jr. and Karina Jarek; her great grandchildren, Knox Rounsaville, Jaxx Rounsaville, Jett Rounsaville and Paisley Carpenter. She is preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Loyce Clemons.
